Vincent Thibault becomes the new General Manager of the CTCPA

The CTCPA, Technical Center for the Preservation of Agricultural Products, is pleased to announce the appointment of Vincent Thibault as the new General Manager, as of January 4, 2021. He succeeds Christian Divin who has been leading the CTCPA since 1990.

Vincent Thibault joined the CTCPA in October 2019 as Deputy Managing Director. Aged 48, Vincent Thibault has held various positions both in a French agribusiness group and in private equity.

His knowledge of the agri-food sector, his experience in project management, innovation and the search for associated funding will enable him to develop the Centre's activities and meet the new ambitions of its Board of Directors.

In 2020, the CTCPA celebrated its 70 years old and has demonstrated in a particular context its dynamism and its ability to adapt. In full mutation, the CTCPA is modernizing, in particular by welcoming new talents. The arrival of a new General Director Vincent Thibault and collaborators opens new perspectives to answer the strategies of the Center.

In 2021, in the face of a changing world, the CTCPA is ready to take on new challenges, through the following axes

- Theindustry of the future by developing adapted control and diagnostic tools, by participating in the research and development of tomorrow's food and by supporting the mastery of new soft preservation technologies.

- Digitalization by deploying a digital strategy designed to modernize its activities and build tools and training systems for technical professions.

- The ecological and energy transitionby initiating a CSR approach in order to be exemplary in raising awareness and supporting the companies in the sector on this issue, and by supporting the sector in the reduction and recyclability of packaging.

- By investing in its laboratoriesThe CTCPA will invest in its regional infrastructures, in particular through the new P3 microbiology laboratory at the CTCPA Avignon and new spaces at its site dedicated to packaging. In the first quarter of 2021, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and the French Federation of Preserved Food Industries (FIAC) will sign the Contract of Objectives and Performance 2021-2024 of the CTCPA, the roadmap of the Center for the next years.

Vincent Thibault and the CTCPA collaborators are ready to move forward together to continue to carry out their various projects and to help agri-food companies meet the challenges of tomorrow.
