Nutriscore developments and update of the OPTINUT tool for nutritional formulation

Published on: 14/11/2023

Did you know? On July 10, Santé publique France updated its regulations, FAQ and calculator (English version) with the new algorithms published in summer 2022 for the general case (solid foods) and April 2023 for beverages.

At the same time, OPTINUT, the Actia Nutriprevius Network's nutritional formulation tool, has also incorporated these new features, and a version 2023 has been available for free download from the website. www.actia-asso.eu.

This Excel tool makes it easy to decipher the Nutri-Score and improve it criterion by criterion, by integrating constraints on ingredient quantities, nutrient content and price. It can also be used more globally to improve nutritional composition.

The Network is still working on the evolution of this tool, taking into account your user feedback through its user questionnaire.
