[Save the date] Innovative approaches to local food processing

As part of the European FOX project - Food processing in a Box, the CTCPA is organizing a half-day event on October 24, 2023 at its Avignon site on the theme of innovative approaches to processing local food products.


The CTCPA is taking part in the FOX (Innovative down-scaled Food processing in a boX) project, which aims to stimulate short circuits for fruit and vegetable-based products by developing innovative technologies for gentle processing. At its Avignon site, the CTCPA has developed specifications for the implementation of a mobile container for production of4th range products in recyclable or bio-sourced packaging for optimum preservation, close to the farms.

  • 8.30am - 9am: Coffee reception

  • 9h00 - 9h30: FOX project - Small-scale fruit and vegetable processing in mobile and flexible units: an innovative and sustainable system

  • 9:30 - 9:50: Development of a mobile unit for preparing cut fruit and vegetables in more sustainable packaging systems

  • 9H50 - 10H10: Agec law - 3R decree: context and obligations

  • 10:10 - 10:50: Visit to the mobile unit

  • 10:50 - 11:15: Coffee break

  • 11:15 - 11:35: Microwave processing: towards greener pasteurization of fruit and vegetables

  • 11H35 - 12H30: Site visit - technology hall and laboratories

  • 12H30-14H00: Cocktail lunch & networking
