Packaging Forum - Sustainable packaging and circular economy: responses to the 3Rs decree

The annual Packaging Forum is back in person for its 17th edition! It will take place on Thursday, June 23rd in Paris. Patrice DOLE, Director of Research of the CTCPA will give a conference on "the accompaniment of the food industry on the 3R strategy and the sectorial sheets.


The Packaging Forum is an event that allows packaging manufacturers and food industry players to take stock of the regulations governing food contact materials.

Oriented in 2022 on sustainable packaging and the circular economythis day will address the responses to the 3Rs decree through experts' interventions on the regulations and on the challenges of the sector (recycled plastic materials, functional barriers, eco-design and performance of packaging, etc.) testimonies from manufacturers and presentations from professional associations on the support of their respective sector on the 3R strategy.

  • There will be question and answer sessions after each presentation and breaks to allow you todiscuss with the speakers and the various players in the sector.

  • Scheduled hours: 9:30 am - 5:15 pm with 1:30 lunch

The CTCPA will provide an update on the AGEC Act and the 3Rs Executive Order, as well as the clarifications provided by the "3Rs Strategy" which:

  • declines the objectives of Reduction, Reuse, and Recycling of the 3R Decree for all the sectors using single-use plastic packaging

  • clarifies the trajectories of the 3Rs from 2025 to 2040

  • brings elements of understanding on the place of plastics of renewable and or biodegradable origin, as well as on the status of functionalized paperboards
