In one of FOX's European regions (Food Circle 1), FOX partners are developing a mobile container for the production of high quality fruit juices (low oxygen juice extraction and gentle storage)near the farms.
This mobile juice processing container will allow local producers to bring in their excess production of fruits and vegetables, which can then be recycled. The FOX container limits food waste, promotes short circuits and creates business opportunities for local communities and cooperatives.
This container is made up of innovative processing technologies that allow theextraction of juice with low oxygen content (vacuum spiral filter press) and gentle temperature stabilization (pulsed electric field). Thus, colors, aromas, flavor and nutritional qualities are better preserved and the shelf life of the juice is extended while using less energy.
This juice production unit is mobile and flexible. It can be moved from one farmer's area to another and can be used for different types of harvested fruits and vegetables.
