Introduction

Faced with the requirements of the 3R decree and the ambitious goal of recycling 100% of plastics by 2025, packaging manufacturers are having to rethink their materials. The historic PET-based laminates used in Doypack™-type sterilizable pouches pose a major challenge in terms of recyclability.


In this article, the CTCPA explores emerging alternatives, in particular polypropylene-based complexes (PPOs), which combine sterilizability and recycling potential.
