The CTCPA joins the FOODTURE project for a more sustainable food supply

We had the pleasure of participating in the launch of the FOODTURE in Vic, Spain, alongside theACTIAand theIFIP and theITERG. This project, coordinated by BETA Technological Center from the University of Vic, is a 4-year Horizon Europe initiative aimed at transforming the agri-food sector by enhancing its sustainability.

The project focuses on improving Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies and collecting reliable data on the environmental impact of food products in Europe.

Within this framework, the CTCPA with ACTIA, IFIP and ITERG , in partnership with theADEMEis actively involved in the creation of 300 data sets (ICV) of food products. These data will make it possible to assess the impact of 80% of the food products consumed in Europe, in order to guide industrial choices towards more environmentally-friendly solutions and optimize production practices. We will also contribute to the definition of common methodologies, with a particular focus on the case study of multi-ingredient ready-made meals.

It's a great opportunity to showcase the work carried out in France with the Agribalyse® database, while continuing our commitment on a European scale.
