Start-ups, take part in the "What's for lunch tomorrow?

Foodtech® Dijon Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, supported by Vitagora, is organizing, in partnership with Terres Univia, a competition for innovative start-ups and SMEs building the food of tomorrow


The aim of the What's for lunch tomorrow? "The aim is to identify start-ups and SMEs offering innovative food products for B2C markets that meet the food challenges of tomorrow, as well as new consumer expectations.

  • Reducing the environmental impact of food production

  • Reducing food waste and promoting the circular economy

  • Meet consumer expectations in terms of transparency, use, taste, nutrition, clean label...




Who can apply?
This competition is open to companies meeting the following conditions:

  • Be a start-up or SME (with 1 to 250 employees), regardless of geographical location

  • Commercialize an innovative finished food product for B2C markets that meets consumers' new expectations in terms of nutrition, usage, taste, sustainability, etc.

  • Be looking for support to accelerate the time-to-market and/or industrialization of your project.

  • Be registered as a company with a unique registration number in the country of origin

  • Be in a sound financial position, and not subject to legal proceedings

  • Have read and approved the terms and conditions of the competition

  • Your product can be sold on the French market or adapted for this purpose.

*The winner of this prize must propose a product that enhances the value of plants rich in oil and French plant proteins (oilseeds): peas, field beans, lupins, lentils, chickpeas, soybeans, rapeseed, sunflower, flaxseed, etc.

Competition calendar:

  • Application deadline: September 20

  • Finalists announced: September 30

  • Final jury in Dijon: October 31 (afternoon). Pitches will be in French.

  • Announcement of winners: October 31, after jury deliberation.

  • All finalists must be present at the dedicated exhibition area on October 31 and November 1.


Closing date for applications is midnight September 20, 2024.
