The RMT Actia Propack Food has created 26 fact sheets corresponding to key notions for introducing packaging science concepts, intended for students/teachers in technical high schools/BTS/DUTs and SME/VSE industrialists. They are divided into 5 categories:

  • Interacting and communicating with consumers

  • Preserving the environment

  • Preserve product integrity and quality

  • Control chemical and microbiological risks

  • Transport, logistics and service functions

What is the Actia Propack Food RMT?

The Réseau mixte technologique RMT Actia Propack Food is accredited by the French Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, under the aegis of ACTIA, Le Réseau français des Instituts techniques de l'agro-alimentaire. This RMT is coordinated by LNE and run in conjunction with CTCPA. It brings together seventeen national partners with expertise in sustainable packaging, the circular economy and food waste. Its main objectives are to meet the needs of the food and packaging industries, as well as public authorities, in terms of research and development, the provision of tools and training.


Working closely with professional organizations in the food and packaging sectors, sorting and recycling operators, government agencies and competitiveness clusters, the Actia Propack Food RMT focuses its research and development on three priority areas:




  • Health safety and ecotoxicity

  • Processes and functions

  • Users and consumers


Also a forum for synergy and exchange, the Actia Propack Food RMT has developed Propack Food Training, a transfer tool for industrialists and trainers, matching higher education and technical training with the needs of companies.


Propack Food Training is both educational and fun:




  • Practical decision-making guides

  • Courses on the packaging theme

  • Case studies in quiz format

  • Additional documentation

  • Professional contacts and links


Propack Food Training is regularly updated in line with regulatory, scientific and technical developments.
