ADEPALE, the association representing French food SMEs and ETIs, and its trade associations (EGS, ETF, FIAC, FNLS, SRF, SVFPE), and FIPA, the federation of food importers, and its trade associations (SNCE and SNS), have announced the launch of joint 3R roadmaps to accelerate their sectors' trajectory towards the reduction, reuse and recycling of single-use plastic packaging.

These organizations are convinced of the need to seize the provisions of the national 3R strategy, provided for in the anti-waste law for a circular economy (AGEC law), encouraging the implementation of sectoral roadmaps to support the transition of the food industry towards sustainable packaging.

Intervening as a technical expert, the CTCPA Packaging Unit will be in charge of the analysis of the packaging practices in the different sectors.

In a first step, the CTCPA, under the guidance of CITEO+, will carry out an inventory of the packaging present in the sectors concerned by the study and will process the information obtained. Finally, the CTCPA will work on the proposal of alternative solutions in line with the requirements of the 3R decree.
