New Nutri-Score 2.0 calculation algorithm: changes and actions to be taken?

Introduction

Since its introduction, the Nutri-Score has become an essential tool for informing consumers about the nutritional quality of food products. In 2025, a new algorithm for calculating the Nutri-Score was introduced, bringing significant changes, notably to better align labeling with public health recommendations and the specific characteristics of food products. This change, already effective in several European countries, now applies in France, with concrete repercussions for food companies.
