The CTCPA helped start-up CHIJIWI diagnose the shelf life of its birthday cake for dogs, with the aim of optimizing its shelf life. A look back at Chijiwi's activity and our support with founder Laure BLONDEL.

Chijiwi is a family-run start-up founded in 2022. Our driving force? Dogs' well-being!
With Chijiwi, we enable owners to spoil their dogs on their birthdays with cakes and gifts, and throughout the year with products selected for their originality and usefulness. by our family in our daily life with our dog, Cookie.
We also offer all our customers the opportunity to care for the dogs of friends, family, relatives or office colleagues with our iconic "Plaisir d'Offrir" box. We offer plaids and bandanas embroidered with the dog's name, making the perfect gift. We also offer other boxes - for yourself or as gifts - based on the lives of our dogs ("Welcome" box, "I'm off to the mountains" box), which you can discover on our website. online store.
For us, the well-being of all dogs is paramount. That's why, every month, we put the spotlight on a dog from the Villevaudé shelter (77) to whom we offer a beautiful birthday box with cake and presents! The video of this happy event is broadcast on social networks in the hope of enabling its adoption.
Why did you work with the CTCPA?
We launched "Birthday" boxes containing a birthday cake that we bake on request. As we didn't have the skills to deal with the shelf-life aspect, we began the process of finding a company to meet our needs. After some research, the CTCPA seemed to be the organization that offered the most complete solution for finding the best way to preserve our cakes from a health and taste point of view. We therefore called on the CTCPA to help us design the birthday cake, and to advise us on shelf life.
How did the CTCPA support Chijiwi, and what did you think of it?
We had an initial telephone meeting with Carla LUCET and Gilles BERTHEAU to explain our expectations and questions. We felt immediately supported and helped. The CTCPA invited us to provide them with various samples of our cakes for analysis, and provided us with the keys to understanding the phenomena we needed to control (baking, cake formulation, quantity of water and compliance with hygiene rules) to obtain an adequate shelf life. Marie-Luce LE BRIQUER and Gilles BERTHEAU perfectly understood our expectations and gave us invaluable advice, showing themselves to be committed and concerned by our issues.
The bottom line? We have clear, defined processes. As a result, we feel confident about our production.
How will Chijiwi develop?
We're aiming to expand our "dog" offer with new themed boxes. We're also working on an offer for our cat friends!
