BRCGS Food version 9: 2 new CTCPA training courses!

The December 2021 draft of BRCGS Food version 9 was available for consultation until January 12, 2022. A few changes are planned, including :

  • Validation of the HACCP plan (2.12.1)

  • Management of suppliers and outsourced processes (3.5.3 and 3.5.4)

  • Equipment (section 4.6: 7 requirements instead of 2)

  • X-ray detection (4.10.3.5)

  • Animal feed (5.8)

  • Primary processing of animal products (red meat, poultry, fish) - (5.9)


This 9th version clarifies several existing requirements, including expectations for food safety culture and for packaging and labeling control, and the audit protocol has been revised.

Version 9 is scheduled to be released in August 2022 and certification audits under version 9 will begin on February 1, 2023.
